Product Description

A wide variety of bits can be accepted and the four speeds allow for a great variety of materials to be drilled, including wood, metal, plastic and many others.The cast iron table can tilt up to 45º and will accept most drill press vices, allowing secure holding for increased accuracy and safety. When extra capacity is needed the table can be moved to the side of the machines so the base can be used as a working table, which also accepts drill press vices.For further strength and performance, the headstock also features cast iron, adding weight to reduce vibration, along with a cast iron handwheel. The DP25B features an easy to use locking collar depth stop and to support the larger capacities of the DP25B, it features a rack and pinion table support mechanism, a feature often only found on much larger machines, representing excellent value for a machine in this price range.

"Good drill, much better made than the previous one I tried from another manufacturer. Speed adjustment slightly limited but still easy to find an optimum for different materials and bits. Power seems adequate for my needs, small holes around 10mm in metal less than 5mm and flat and forstner bits in hard wood are a breeze. I haven't yet tried drilling thicker metal yet but I don't see why it won't cope using proper technique. Depth is a bit limited as you'd expect for this smaller model so I will buy some longer brad bits of similar length to my flat bits to avoid repositioning workpiece when boring countersinks and then holes to take bolts flush. Overall very pleased with the drill especially given the price point. Delivery and customer service from Yandles is excellent, will buy from them again."
