Product Description
This new air filter offers great features and performance at a very competitive price. It features two-stage filtration with pocket filters (previously only available on our top of the range AC2 machine and nearly twice the price) to provide filtration down to 1 micron. It has 3 speeds and a timer function so you can leave the unit to run for a period after you have finished in the workshop. Both of which can be applied by remote control, which is included with the machine. Also supplied with mounting hooks and chains.
Useful for reducing nuisance dust, particularly in small workshops. This unit provides effective two-stage filtration for workshops up to 113m3

"I am very pleased with filter. I have it sitting atop one of the shelf units in my converted garage and it has made a noticeable difference in the amount of dust both in the air and being deposited within the workspace. I tend to suffer from catarrh when working in dusty conditions and, although I usually wear a face mask, it does take a lot of the enjoyment away from my hobby. "Ordering process was problem free and the product was delivered on time. Packaging appeared adequate however the input air filter, which is a cardboard construction, was torn. Quickly resolved with some tape but not what you expect for the price. Installation on the ceiling of my workshop was straightforward and achieved on my own although a third hand would have been useful. Controls and operation are ok. It is not immediately obvious that micro fine dust is being filtered but after a few days I noticed the filters were starting to show dust so I assume it is working as advertised. I am giving this 4 stars due to the torn filter otherwise it would have been 5 stars"

"When sanding in my small workshop fine dust would collect in the atmosphere of the shop, which over a couple of days would settle out onto all my work surfaces and work. So I needed a reliable and inexpensive fine particle air filter and after much research and previous experience with Record kit I selected the AC400 two stage air filter and I have not been disappointed. The filter removes 90% of the fine dust leaving little to settle out onto my work. The time delay is an excellent idea as I can leave the unit running for an hour after I finish sanding. An as usual Yandles were excellent in the service."

"Only been in use for a short time but very impressed with the quality of the AC400. Even over the time I have been using it there is a significant amount of dust, etc on the outer filter. I particularly like the timer as it ensures the dust in the air when I leave the workshop still stands a good chance of being sucked up by the filter. "I have owned the Record AC400 Air Filter for about 4 weeks having considered buying one for a number of years now and I am pleased with it so far. I did contemplate buying a cheaper alternative from a competitor of Yandles, however, after watching a review on YouTube it appears that the item has a plastic casing which would no doubt eventually get damaged in my workshop. I do have a number of other Record tools including: dust extractor, lathe, numerous cramps and hand tools, and as always, I was not disappointed with this piece of Record equipment.
The item works well and keeps the air free from the build up dust which unavoidably escapes my dust/chip extraction units, the remote-control unit makes it easy to switch on/adjust the level of filtration, the unit also has the benefit of a timer run-on which allows the unit to left switched on after you are finished allowing any remaining airborne dust to be removed before it settles around the workshop. The unit effectively circulates the air around my workshop and is fairly quiet when operating.

"Delivery very quick. The first one seemed to be fine but when I finally mounted it from the ceiling had a lot of vibration and noise.
A quick email to Yandles and I had a replacement sent out for delivery the next day.
I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and it's amazing how much dust the filters actually collect.
The timer facility is an excellent idea, lock up the workshop and leave it on full power on a 1 hour timer. Just ideal for collecting what else is floating around the area.

"I have not used the equipment much but it seems to be robust and operating well. My only issue was the until was delivered only in its box with no other packaging. The box was quite damaged and the box had been sufficiently damaged on the bottom, so the plug was partially hanging out and had been broken. I had to replace the plug before I couild use if."
