Product Description

Our Green Oak Garage Kits are supplied with the following:

All the Green Oak beams with morticed and tenon joints in the relevant places and pre-drilled holes. The beams are all marked clearly for ease of fitting together
Softwood (cut with a birds-mouth) for the rafters and a frame to fix the cladding to
Oak pegs
The two largest kits come with a saddle stone for the middle post.
Cladding as selected

Please note that the softwood is not cut to length to allow for cutting after erecting the frame. Also, the garage frames are designed to be sat on brickwork.

The footprint of each building is under 30m2 with an apex under 4m, so they do not require planning permission when certain requirements are met.

The Large Single Bay Garage Kit

3.8m wide by 5.6m deep with a 3.95m total height. The front opening is 3.5m wide by 2.1m high.

The Two-Bay Garage Kit

is 5.6m wide by 5.3m deep with a 3.95m total height. The front opening is split in two. The openings are 2.55m wide by 2.1m high. The catslide roof allows for a handy storage area at the back of the garage.

The Small Single Bay Garage Kit

3m wide by 5.3m deep with a total height of 3.95m. The opening is 2.7m wide x 2.1m high. The back has a descending roof for a storage area.

The One-and-a-Half Bay Garage Kit

Includes a side storage area. It is 5.3m wide by 5.6m deep with a 3.95m total height. The front opening is 3.5m wide by 2.1m high, with a descending height roof on the side storage area. This can be left open or boxed for a separate storage area.

Please note that all our Green Oak Kits are machined to order, therefore delivery/collection may take 3-6 weeks from the date of purchase. We strive to deliver the highest quality products and this process ensures that each kit is precisely crafted to meet your specifications.

Putting together

2-3 Person Job | 1-2 Days

Ground preparation. Requires a base of either a concrete pad or concrete under the brickwork suitable to take the weight.

Knowledge of carpentry and building is required. A course of brickwork is needed to be laid under the wallplates. Lifting equipment will be required to lift into place the large beams as they weigh around 150kg. The beams will be marked to show which piece joins to which. Once the frame is erected the softwood needs to be fixed inside the frame to allow for the cladding to be fixed. The softwood rafters sit on the frame at the point of the birdsmouth

Whats included

We supply the following:

All the Green Oak beams with mortice and tenon joints on the relevant ends, pre-drilled holes and individual labels.
Oak pegs to join.
Softwood for the rafters and for fixing the cladding
Cladding as selected

You will need the following:

Felt, battens and covering for the roof.
Solid base and course of brickwork or saddle stones

Delivery

Delivery can be arranged by emailing timber@yandles.co.uk or calling 01935 82207 option 3. It will be charged based on mileage and delivered via a third-party hi-ab firm. Due to the beams' length, we cannot deliver outside of the South West or South Central area of England on this product. Roughly 100 miles from our site.
