"2 Day beginners woodturning Course. Absolutely amazing course with excellent tuition by Paul. A truly talented man with plenty of patience and guidance for all of us attending the course. From my perspective I couldn't have asked for more, the two days were filled with informative guidance on the pieces we worked on along with an insight in to how to choose the correct piece of wood and how to mount this. The course covers more than gouges and lathes, it brings to you how it all fits together and how it all links together. I have left here feeling a lot more confident and able to push to failure and start again, very valuable lessons, not just for woodturning. I look forward to visiting again soon for the improvers course to pick Paul's brains on how to carry on improving."

"I enjoyed the course very much and learned a great deal. Paul, our instructor, was very knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. He gave clear instructions and demonstrated each step of a process, then monitored the 4 of us to make sure we had understood what we were to do. I asked questions and these were answered fully, or Paul showed through demonstration the answer. I left the 2 day course with knowledge I didn’t previously have, in relation not only to the main topic ( turning) but in relation to timber selection, finishing materials, tools and better understanding how grain direction would influence the finished result. I made two bowls over the weekend and I left with those and a confidence to take the subject further. In short, a good course and worth doing."

"I cannot recommend this course highly enough if you are thinking of taking up wood turning. Our instructor Paul was very experienced and explained the basics of the lathe, tools, wood choices and some tool sharpening guidance. Max of 4 on the course meant real one to one tuition and I felt confident enough to purchase a lathe from Yandle and sons and take up this as a hobby. We all came away with a bowl. Bonus."

"This course is ideal if your either new to turning or considering taking it up. In fact I’d go so far as to say it’s essential even if only to help you choose what to buy when you start out (stopped me from buying the wrong lathe) or to save yourself buying all the kit only to find out wood turning isn’t really for you. Paul, is not only very experienced but he is also very good at transferring the knowledge you’ll need, and I saved the hours of hardship that I’d have needed teaching myself from books etc."
