"Absolutely brilliant.
What more can I say"

"This light has an incredible magnetic base and strong light output.
The battery also holds its charge well. I've been using this for a good few months now and would be happy to recommend it."

"Further to my review on this and the Eye Light Pro, I was having problems with the battery life being too short for the time I spend turning.
The (cheep) 2amp USB charger I bought would not light the lamp when connected (well it did for a few seconds at a time) so I contacted the manufacturer to find out if it would work when on charge. They said yes BUT needs a good power supply.
So I bought an £8 good one and yes it does make the light work while charging it, this of course means there is a cable to the light when in use, but it is a 5 volt one not a 220 volt and it's not hard to work around."

"How big is a Lumen? I have the Charnwood ML28 which claims 180 Lumens, and also has the switchable magnetic base which makes it ideal for re-positioning depending on the angle of light needed. that of course has a power lead and is mains operated. But I needed a second light and I was seduced by the claimed 1000 Lumens offered by the Eye-Light Plus.
There isn't really much difference? so either Lumens are really small units of measure, or the layout of the LED's in The Charnwood is vastly superior (like over 5 times) to the Eye-Light.
Other negative things on the Eye-Light there is no USB adaptor in the box, while I have lots of USB charging options in the house, I don't in the workshop so had to buy one. and the magnet is good, but not easy to move about unless you can slide it off where it is fixed, the Charnwood wins that one.
Positive things:- it is battery powered, basically a bright rechargeable torch, so as long as you remember to put it on charge at the end of the day you can use it without trailing leads.
It does the job, would have preferred an extra 75mm on the flex mount to position it better and more out of the way, but it is a cool running bright light you can bring in close to the work.
Only giving this one 4 stars as it is OK, it's not bad and not great either. If you want a magnetic base light that won't burn your ear off then I would recommend either of the two, key difference is the power source, choice of mains lead or battery."

"The light is really good adjustable strength of brightness, the yellow H frame is a waste of time angle the light down it topples over. But can’t fault the light good strength magnet. The reason for 3 stars is the H frame."

"Having looked at other lights available on the market I was impressed at seeing the images of the light from this fitting. When getting it I wasn't disappointed. The output is amazing. The light "head" is about the size of a tennis ball. The magnetic mount has a strong magnet that secures it clearly to the bed of the lathe where I'm using it to give light inside items I'm hollowing.
The stand has a bendy "leg". This isn't as good at holding the exact position as I'd ideally like, but it does a really good job over all though. The light is a good natural hue, not too blue; as with some cheap LEDs.
The lamp head is charged using a USB phone charger. Charging from flat takes an hour or so. But it has a charge progress indication on the back as well. I'd recommend getting this. It's great value compared to any others I've seen on the market."
