Product Description

Acrylic Sanding Sealer

This water based sanding sealer gets the job done without the smell associated with solvent based sealers and also with no flammability issues – ideal for asthma suffers and anyone with an aversion to solvent based finishes.

Applied by cloth, brush or spray (our Foam Brushes are especially good with this) the sealer dries in about 5 minutes and can be overcoated with most compatible finishes after about 20 minutes although two hours should be left if using Acrylic Lacquer.

Acrylic Sanding Sealer sands easily with a fine abrasive and is supplied ready for use.

Typical uses	To seal open pores of timber prior to application of lacquers, waxes or polishes. Once dry lightly sand for a smooth surface.
Method of application	Foam Brush, Brush, cloth or spray.
Drying time	Within twenty minutes under normal conditions.
Coverage	approx. 8-10 m² per litre.
Compatibility	Can be used as a basecoat for Acrylic Gloss Lacquer, Acrylic Lacquer, Ebonising Lacquer, Acrylic Satin Lacquer, WoodWax 22, Woodturner’s Stick Wax, Friction Polish.
Tips	One coat should be sufficient to seal the piece you are working on. It is not advisable to apply more than one coat, especially when using a ‘hard’ topcoat (i.e. lacquers). Thinning may be required when applying over a large area.

Acrylic Sanding Sealer (Aerosol) A water based sanding sealer with an accelerated drying time and easy sanding for use with Acrylic Lacquers and many other finishes, in an easy to use aerosol. Complies with EN71 for use on toys.

Coverage	4-5 m² per litre (about 2 - 2.5m² per can)
Compatibility	Can be used under any of the Chestnut Acrylic Lacquers, Ebonising Lacquer, WoodWax 22 and Friction Polish
Tips	Apply as a thin coat, taking care to avoid runs
Thinners	n/a
