Posts and Beams

Yandles Green Oak Posts/Beams are made from fresh-sawn European Oak. Green Oak or Fresh Sawn Oak is a type of timber that is cut fresh from the log within the last 3 months. This material ranges in colour from pale pink to honey-hued, and over time weathers to a light grey.

Whether used indoors or outdoors, our oak posts and oak beams are built to withstand even the harshest conditions and will last for years. Additionally, oak posts are incredibly versatile, with a wide range of possible applications including fencing, garden structures, retaining walls, architectural elements (including roof structures), the construction of oak-framed buildings & bridges and more.

Yandles offer in-house grading for when you need the structural guarantee on your oak. We can grade our structural oak beams and posts to BS 5756 and THA/B in large section sizes and TH1/2 in small section sizes. We also have an on-site hand planing service to achieve that special finish. Please note all graded and planed orders are made to order.

We stock our structural green oak beams and posts in a range of lengths and standard section sizes, and if we do not stock the size that you require, we may still be able to provide a custom cut-to-size oak post.
