Join Kate as she teaches a second steps watercolour workshop, giving you a feel for this beautiful and accessible medium. Learn the basics of watercolour painting through a series of tips, tricks and techniques she has learnt over many years of practice. You'll leave with the confidence to pick up your paintbrush again! Kate will guide you through easy exercises that build your confidence in colour mixing, brushwork and mark making. Explore different approaches to our watercolour workshop.
This second session in our Introduction to watercolours series which will help you to build your skills and hopefully lead you to new creative paths.
This is a beginner-level introduction to watercolour which will hopefully lead you to new creative paths. Whether you’re looking to explore the medium, add a new skill to your repertoire or take some time out for yourself, Kate can offer guidance and support in an environment that is fun and relaxed.
Kate Wiltshire is a local artist and art tutor specialising in watercolour painting. She is offering a second part to her ever so popular courses.
You will need to provide your own materials for this course. The following items are required:
Small medium large Graduate paintbrushes are £3.25 each.
Aqua fine jumbo A4 pad
Cotman watercolour tubes in
Cadmium Yellow Hue
Cadmium Red Deep Hue
Ultramarine
The course is held from 10am-12pm in the Arts and Crafts shop.
