This is a half-day course designed to provide beginners with a comprehensive understanding of how to safely and effectively use a bandsaw. In this course, participants will learn the fundamental principles of bandsaw setup, as well as the essential safety precautions necessary to minimize risks when operating a bandsaw.

During the course, participants will be introduced to the anatomy of the bandsaw, including the various parts and components that make up the machine. Additionally, the course will cover essential topics such as blade selection, tensioning, and tracking, which are critical elements in ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the bandsaw.

Participants will also receive guidance on how to use the bandsaw safely and effectively, with top tips for minimizing the risk of accidents and maintaining the quality of cuts. The course will cover best practices for feed rates, blade tension, and how to keep the bandsaw blade clean and sharp.

By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to set up and use a bandsaw safely and effectively, and to make clean, precise cuts. This is a half day course that will run on our site in Martock, somerset.

Start times are as follows

Morning 9.00-12.00

Afternoon 2.00-5.00

Please note, 1to1 bookings tend to be shorter and are available most times & most days Monday - Saturday although must be pre-booked & agreed prior. If ordering 1to1 online, we will contact you to arrange a suitable time & date
