Terms and Conditions of Yandles Handmade Markets

Please read the following general terms & conditions carefully

 

APPLYING & COSTS

 

Confirmation of application acceptance/regret will be confirmed as soon as possible and within 4 weeks of the market via email. Payment must be made within 1 week of the offer being made, so please check your emails. Payment can be made in person in the Arts & Crafts shop, or by phone. Cheques to be made payable to Yandle & Sons Ltd.  Please note no payment details are kept on our system.

Pitch cost: £40.00

Pitch size:  Approximately 3m square, suitable for 1 x 10ft gazebo (not provided)

Stallholders are welcome to share pitches or to request a double/triple pitch. Special requirements such as additional space, disabled parking etc. are to be requested clearly in your application. Provision cannot be guaranteed but will be provided where available. Please note no electricity is available to the pitches.  We do not provide Wi-Fi so you will need to bring your own connection to the internet to use your own data.

We reserve the right to decline applications based on what we perceive as suitable goods for sale, namely those that are in keeping with our handmade ethos and products that will not compromise what other stallholders or Yandle & Sons Ltd. already sell on site. Please do not assume that due to exhibiting previously that you will be guaranteed a pitch this year.  All applicants will be considered fairly so we can ensure a fresh and relevant Market and it is essential that all products are handcrafted and are not bought in.

 

TRADING STANDARDS

  • All exhibitors/demonstrators must clearly display their names and trading address on their stand.
  • All exhibitors selling food items must provide a current food hygiene certificate with their application.

 

 

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE

All stallholders must hold a current own product/public liability insurance, to trade at this event.  A copy of your in-date certificate must be attached to your application when applying, and must also be visible on the day, failure to do so will result in you being unable to attend the market. It is the personal responsibility of the stallholder to always ensure legal and safe trading. Yandle and Sons Ltd accepts no responsibility of any injury or damage caused by stallholders, products and stands. 

 

Furthermore, Yandle and Sons Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to or theft of stock/property/vehicles whilst attending Yandles Markets.

 

 

SET-UP AND PRESENTATION OF STALLS

There will be strictly no admittance to the venue before the stated set-up time (confirmed upon booking). This is for our insurance, along with allowing our team to ensure a smooth set up of the event.

Allocation of pitch spaces are carefully decided prior to the event by the organiser, under no circumstances should there be any request to move pitches on the day of the event. All special requirements are to be made in advance on the application form. 

  • Arrival time for pitch set up will be specified depending on the position of your pitch. First entry is from 7:30am – gates will not be open to stallholders before this time so please do not arrive prior to this time.
  • Please arrive at the correct specified entrance (confirmed 1-2 weeks prior to the event).
  • Please unload your vehicle as quickly as possible, park in the designated area (to ensure no blocked right of way for other exhibitors) and once parked, only then set up your stall.
  • Do not move your position, this has been set out to provide entry and exit spaces for exhibitors to access their pitches, it provides as much room as possible for visitors to make their way around and ensures the safety of the event.
  • Pitches are to be fully set up prior to the event opening time (10am).
  • All tables should be covered with a cloth or other covering of your choosing and well presented.
  • You may display your stock in any way you choose, but please ensure all display racks/shelves, lighting/ signs are stable and secure and will not cause any hazard or obstruction to other sellers or the public.
  • Stalls must not be dismantled until the advertised end time of the event (4pm). Early pack up with have a detrimental impact on future applications.
  • Please pack up your stock first before moving your vehicle to help minimise distribution when leaving the market.

 

OUR ASSURANCE

 We spend a lot of money on advertisements. But any event we cannot guarantee visitor numbers, but we will do our utmost to ensure that you have a successful market this year. Bad weather, interruption of power or internet services and the Covid pandemic are all circumstances out of our control but with a strong social media presence, local advertising in magazines and everyone keen to buy and sell again. and it promises to be an exciting and successful year for everyone involved.       

 

BEHAVIOUR

Stallholders and/or their helpers must conduct themselves in an orderly manner. Obscene language, abusive or anti-social behaviour whilst onsite, by stallholders or anyone associated with that person, may result in being asked to leave the event.  

Any abusive behaviour either verbal or written, toward Yandle and Sons Ltd staff, will not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal from the event and future events.

All children under the age of 14 years attending the event with stallholders must be closely supervised by an adult during trading hours.

Please note, Yandles is a non-smoking site and well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

                                   

CANCELLATION BY TRADER

Traders are liable to pay for all market dates booked, should a trader wish to withdraw a confirmed application for any reason, they must give no less than 15 days’ notice for us to allocate the stall to another trader on the waiting list. There will be a cancellation/administration fee of 50% of the total site fee paid, the remainder will be refunded. Failure to attend the event without notice will result in a total loss of your payment and refusal of future applications.  Due to cost prices, we cannot refund fees or carry them over to next market dates.

 

CANCELLATION OF MARKET 

Yandle and Sons Ltd will put in place all reasonable plans to ensure that the Handmade Market goes ahead as advertised. However, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside of our control which lead to a change in, or cancellation of the market. In the event of the market being cancelled or the pitch area being unavailable due to extenuating circumstances, we will endeavour to arrange another date as soon as we are able, or a full refund of pitch costs will be organised. We will keep you informed of changes via email and on our social media platforms.

COVID-19

The size and layout of the market will be in accordance with government guidelines and any legislation in place at the time of this event. If the Market has to be cancelled due to Covid-19, refunds will be given within 14 days and the stallholder will be given the option of a stall at a later date. If you do not wish your details to be held securely for this purpose then please indicate your preference in the box on the application form or notify us by emailing crafts@yandles.co.uk and we will remove your details from our files.

 

 

Yandle and Sons Ltd. reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice. Booking a pitch with us constitutes your acceptance of our terms and conditions
