We have a Rare opportunity to join our Toolshop team in a Full-Time position!
Advertising for a Sales Assistant in our Toolshop & Timber Store:
Schedule: Working 5-days, Tuesday - Saturday 08:30am - 5:00 pm, with occasional Sundays to cover holidays (with a day off in return).
Location: Tools, Machinery & Timber Centre
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting and advising customers on the shop floor.
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders.
- Handle cash and card payments at the checkout.
- Ensure the well-being of customers by going above and beyond.
- Engage in physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and assisting with stock control.
- Cut, carry, and price timber products.
- Answer phone calls and process customer orders.
- Price and organize product displays on shelves.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the store.
- Utilize company PCs and tablets for various tasks.
Desired Qualities:
- Friendly and engaging personality.
- Strong reliability and punctuality.
- Helpful and polite demeanour.
- Physical fitness to handle potentially heavy items like timber and machines.
- Previous woodworking knowledge or retail/sales experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Flexibility, confidence, and a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
