Part of the exclusive range of Coronet lathes from Record Power, the Envoy is perfect for the woodturner who regularly needs the power, stability and capacities necessary for large scale work. Designed as a natural progression from the Coronet Herald, it is supported by large and heavy integral cast iron legs to give ample protection from vibration while turning out of balance timbers.
The overall heavy-duty construction of the machine, along with the finely engineered and machined components make this lathe a pleasure to use.
The Envoy offers unrivalled value-for-money in its class without compromising capacity or features. It offers the benefits of electronic variable speed, a rotating and sliding headstock, reverse function and solid cast iron build throughout, yet at a cost more commonly associated with either much smaller or less well-specified lathes.
The Record Power Coronet Envoy Lathe is designed as a natural progression from the Coronet Herald, with larger cast iron legs, a more powerful motor and a bowl turning capacity of almost double (off the bed). The Envoy lathe utilises the optional extras of an outrigger for off the bed turning and a bed extension to take the distance between centres from 610mm (2ft) to a whole metre! To complete the look and capabilities of the Envoy, you can even add a tool shelf which fits easily underneath the bed to offer extra storage space for regularly used tools or maybe even your next piece of timber to be turned.
Looking for something larger? Why not consider the largest in the Coronet range, the Record Power Coronet Regent. With a capacity that rivals the Envoy and a 2kw motor to provide even more power.

Well pleased, good build quality, every thing is so solid and smooth. One problem tried to register for the 5 year guarantee and record power will not recognise my eyes address.

Good solid piece of kit replacing my old CL4 which did stalwart service for many years. Got the outrigger as an extra for larger bowls. Useful tool shelf and light. Shelf has to be installed as part of the build as cannot be retro-fitted. Small point but no suppressor on motor so get interference on the workshop radio- the only thing that lets it down.

The Coronet Envoy was extremely well packaged with the component parts fixed into the plywood packing crate with screws through metal plates into the ply. This is a heavy lathe, 165 kg according to the labelling so each part needed to be unscrewed from the packaging and transported to its final resting place for assembly. Instructions to assemble were clear and easy to follow .
Once assembled and levelled up, the lathe lives up to expectations. The motor is quiet and powerful, controls are self explanatory and speed read out is clear. The tool rest banjo is brilliant, easy to position with one hand it is very easy to use, as is the tailstock. Although not yet had the opportunity to really put it through its paces, I have gurned quite a few pieces and I am well pleased with my purchase.

What great service from Yandles, and delivered so quickly. I expected to wait at least a week. This is a lump, 200kg with the add on’s. Prepare yourself a good clean area and put a cloth down as the easiest way to build is lay the bed upside down on the floor and attach the legs and turn upright. What a machine though, well impressed for the price, quiet as a mouse and does everything I want a lathe to do but in style. I’m now the weak link in the chain,

Absolutely brilliant. This was without a doubt the best packed item I’ve had. It was so well done. The engineering on the lathe is first class. The motor is very quiet and turning with it is very easy. The variable speed controller is great and you can move it around. It definitely needed two of us to put it together as it weighs a considerable amount but the instructions were almost idiot proof. I’m still getting used to all the features but it has been like stepping off a push bike and getting into an Aston Martin. The staff at Yandles were superb and continue to be very helpful. Overall it has been a very positive experience.

What an excellent lathe. Quiet, powerful, and precise. A great step up from the excellent Herald. All. I need to do is improve my turning skills. As always, great service from Yandles

A very sturdy, heavy duty lathe. Excellent quality and a pleasure to use. Definitely requires 2 strong people to unpack the crate and assemble it. I did have a problem with the lathe initially. Intermittently it would trip the circuit breaker at switch ON. An engineer from RP came very promptly, checked all electrical components and finally replaced all of the relevant pieces on site. I have been using the lathe since, without any problems. Excellent customer service.

Excellent lathe and first class service from Yandles despite delivery issues, which the staff at Yandles managed to sort out for me.
