W619 Table saw is a compact, high quality table saw with a quiet induction motor. The main table is precision ground cast iron, and has 2 fabricated side extension tables to give impressive cutting capacities, perfect for the smaller workshop.
The quiet running induction motor turns the blade via a drive belt which means the blade is mounted onto a dedicated shaft. Expect greatly reduced noise and increased accuracy. Far superior to any gearbox type system found on most hobby level machines.
Blade height and blade angle are controlled using 2 separate hand wheels. The front handle adjusts the height of the blade, 1 clockwise rotation lowers the blade by 2mm. The side hand wheel adjusts the angle of the blade, anywhere from 90 degrees to 45 degrees with a locking level to ensure it does not creep. There is a large scale on the front of the cabinet to read the current angle off.
The rip fence slides smoothly along an aluminium rail. A single locking lever sets the fence at the desired width, anywhere up to the huge capacity of 730mm (28″). There is a sight line looking down onto a scale measured in millimeters. The scale has 2 sets of numbers depending on whether the guide fence is set in the high or low position. For general working the higher fence face is used, but for cutting very narrow strips the fence is rotated to the low position to give clearance right up to the side of the blade.
For quick crosscut jobs there is a sliding mitre fence supplied which runs in one of the T-slots, located on each side of the saw blade. The block is a one-piece metal diecast and has 2 perpendicular faces which can be rotated by 45 degrees each way. The front face has a slot allowing a home made sacrificial fence to be added. The latest model uses the USA standard width mitre slot, of benefit for those looking to add aftermarket accessories (earlier model uses the EU standard).
For very accurate crosscutting, the highlight of the saw is the sliding table. It glides along a guide rail running on 4 bearings. When pulled into the forward position it can load a 600mm (24″) board onto the table. There is a vertical work clamp to hold the board whilst making the cut. The angle of the back fence can be adjusted through a range of 45 degrees, with a positive stop to bring it back to 90 degrees. A flip over length stop completes the setup for making repeat cuts.
The hose kit supplied collects dust from the overhead saw guard and from underneath the blade meeting at a single 100mm diameter hose connection point at the back of the machine.
Supplied with 18 tooth TCT saw blade, sliding table, sliding mitre fence, side extension tables, floor stand, 4 adjustable feet, push stick, 2.0m power cable and UK 3 pin plug.

It is highly recommended that a dust extractor is used at all times with this saw to prevent the harmful build up of dust and chips. The hose kit supplied collects dust from the sawguard and takes it to the single 100mm diameter hose connection point at the back of the machine.
Please note: It is not possible to use a stacked dado set with this saw.

This is my 3rd piece of Charnwood equipment. Although some might say it is quite basic, it does what you would expect from a saw of this size.
It is well built, compact and quiet running. I would recommend it.

I have been looking for a more refined and accurate replacement for my old “site saw” which has served me well for years. This saw was on offer otherwise I would find it difficult to justify the expense. The saw arrived within two days and the courier was helpful delivering it where it was easy to manipulate it into my workshop. It was extremely well packaged and it was fairly easy to assemble, although the instructions weren’t the best I’ve encountered and could be improved. The saw is much quieter than my old one, it has a smaller blade but cut a selection of 2″ oak with ease and with the precision I was looking for. I have placed the side tables at either side of the cast saw table and have stored the sliding table aside to be used when required. The set up for the saw is easy when a little thought is applied as it would be for any machine. I have used Yandles several times for materials and equipment and have always found their service second to none and will always recommend them.

Yandles are good, buy the charnwood w619 is low quality kit. Had to get to charnwood to send me broken and rusty replacement kit. Buy a different brand from Yandles rather than this cheaply made Chinese rubbish.

First table saw I have bought and it is just the right size for my small workshop and woodworking. The 20 tooth supplied blade does an excellent job and when you change it for a 60 tooth blade the cuts are out of this world. My shop vac creates more noise than the saw itself. I was worried about the sliding carriage and if would be as useful as it is shown but I would not be without it. The setup was easy and the new instruction booklet is very easy to follow. The fence was accurate as soon as I put it on and the blade needed no adjustment at all. Well packaged and protected and came in three boxes so easy to move from drop off point to the workshop. Delivery driver very helpful and could not do enough to help. Overall if your in the market for a table saw you won’t go wrong with Charnwood. This is my second Charnwood machine and my third delivery from Yandles. A great company that sells quality items.

Needed a long lasting saw , I have a 9″ x 5″ garage as my workshop , this 8″ sliding table saw is a must .. Game changer for me… A DeWalt site saw are £599 , but the charnwood is worth every penny and more..

Bought this due to reviews but found two areas of complaint
First off, the insert around the blade is pathetic and makes it very difficult to make a zero clearance plate.
Secondly, dust collection simply doesn’t work. I have a 2.5HP Dust collector yet still most of the sawdust stays in the cabinet or on the floor.
