A router table will convert a hand held plunging router into a stationary tool which is safer to use and quicker to set up than using freehand. Ideally suited for all 1/4″ sized routers this compact router table will perform a variety of jobs such as edge moulding, trenching and tenoning.
The side frames are steel with a smooth MDF table. The insert plate, which must be drilled to suit your routers fixing points, is made from a tough plastic.
The fence arrangement is simple and effective. The three clamps supplied as standard will hold the workpiece securely down against the table and up against the cutter leaving the operator to merely feed the timber through from right to left. A perspex guards protects the operator from flying chips and a dust chute is included for connecting to an extractor. A sliding mitre fence, with a replaceable wooden face, completes the standard equipment
Suitable for use with router cutters up to 35mm diameter.

Bought this whilst it was on offer and more affordable than the alternatives on the market. It’s easy to assemble and quite solid. It has all the features I need and it was easy to fit my trim router. It works well and will fulfill my needs, with good dust extraction. Only downside is that I feel it is made of budget components, and probably best suited to occasional DIY use.

The Charnwood Bench-top Router Table W012 is an excellent piece of kit, coming with all the accessories I might need, and being well made, sturdy, attractive and easy to assemble. I assembled it in the kitchen and had no complaints from the rest of the household. The kit even includes three sets of machine screws in different sizes with which to attach your router to the table. And it really looks the part! Where others have said it uses budget components, well I agree that they wouldn’t stand up to use all day every day, but I’m sure they are robust enough for most people’s home workshop. Yandles as the supplier was perfect; even though I live fairly close to Martock I wasn’t aware that they had a mail order service and I will be using them again. I had one tiny issue with a couple of washers missing from the outfit, but Yandles immediately arranged for replacements to be sent to me; full marks for Customer Service.
