Indian Rosewood Turning Blanks avalible in squares.
Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) is a beautiful hardwood known for its rich dark brown to purplish color, often with darker streaks. The grain is usually straight with a smooth texture and natural shine. Its striking look and durability make it a favorite for turning and fine woodworking.
This wood turns very well, holding sharp details and finishing to a high polish with minimal effort. Its natural oils give it a smooth feel and a deep, lustrous finish. Indian Rosewood also gives off a pleasant, rose-like scent when worked.

Indian Rosewood can be difficult to work with tools because of its interlocked grain and density. The wood can sometimes contain chalky deposits that will rapidly dull cutting edges. Glues and finishes well, though color from the wood’s natural resins can inadvertently bleed onto surrounding surfaces when applying a finish, so care must be taken on the initial seal coats.
