I am an Artisan woodworker and turning only accounts for a small percentage of what I do but when I need a lathe I
need it to do everything, this fits the bill perfectly.
I use it mainly with the 3 position belt in the middle position giving slow enough speed to rough out with plenty more speed available from the electronic controller.
The reverse direction is also extremely useful when sanding, keeping the dust going away from you as well as increasing the sanding efficiency
This came with the Nova chuck which to be hones has not been off the lathe since I bought it, it grips the centre nicely as well as fulfilling all the normal expected uses , gripping tenons etc.
The camlocks on the banjo and tailstock are very quick and easy to aadjust and stay where you put them.
I can not imagine finding a better lathe with these features for the money and am extremely pleased with it.
