There are three new Trizact belts for sharpening and finishing all types of knife. A Trizact structured belt is different to other abrasive belts. Being arranged in an open form the abrasive allows for a rapid cut, with greater resistance to clogging which in turn means much less friction creating a cooler cut and extended belt life. These new belts are also suitable for sharpening high speed steel turning tools and carbon steel edge and carving tools.

Trizact A30 Belt (approx 600 grit). Arranged in a brick pattern to give quick and efficient sharpening from a 240 grit Aluminium Oxide belt.

This is a brilliant belt for the touching up of turning tools. Make sure to use the jigs, though. I caught the raised coated bumps with my skew while trying to do a manual tweek and ripped the belt. Solely my fault and ordered another immediately. I love it and it’s my standard belt.

You know how it goes; you drop a chisel and the tip snaps off. Aye, I did that. Two minutes after I dropped it in the bin I thought to myself “Hey, I need that sized chisel, and I need it now, not after a 40 mile round trip to my nearest DIY store.” So I pulled it out, set up my Pro-Edge with the 600 grit belt, the correct angle on the tool rest, and a dunking pot of cool water. 10 minutes later, after going up through the grits I had a wonderfully sharp (if slightly shorter) chisel which pared through the oak door frame like it was butter.

Impressed? Aye, you should be with this Trizact set of belts. Absolutely brilliant and heartily recommended.
