Tormek Diamond Wheels
Choose your grade / size above
Tormek, already one of the most versatile and comprehensive sharpening systems now has even more potential. These Tormek diamond-grinding wheels offer huge benefits: exceptional durability and the ability to sharpen on the flat side as well as the periphery. Used together with MB-100 multi-base you can sharpen on the side of the diamond wheel to produce a completely flat bevel, which may be preferable in some cases. In addition, these diamond grinding wheels will never require dressing and will always retain their original diameter.
The quality of the diamond surface provides high quality and consistent finish to your edge tools. Diamond is the world’s hardest material and almost twice as hard as cubic boron nitride (CBN). Diamond’s extreme hardness and durability make it the ultimate abrasive material for sharpening. Although the wheels work perfectly well dry, Tormek recommend using water as it gives a much better result. The Tormek Coarse diamond grinding wheel has a grit size of 360 mesh. It can quickly restore a badly dulled tool and remove a nick or ding from an edge.
You can sharpen all types of material, including steel, ceramic, and tungsten carbide. These wheels fit Tormek T-8, Tormek T-7 and previous models Tormek 2000 – 2006 with a 250mm stone diameter.
NEW 200mm wheels to fit Tormek t4 – Now available

The four stars are not indicative of the Tormek diamond wheel which is excellent, it is for the fact that the order for the diamond wheel was forwarded to Brimarc for fulfilment.
The whole delivery time went on for nearly a month, due to the fact that Brimarc had them on back order, did not tell Yandles or myself, eventually arrived and my thanks to
Sam who followed up my enquiries due to delay with Brimarc and kept me updated.

Wheel is truer and better than I was expecting. I use the course wheel rather than a high speed grinder for an initial grind. Its quick accurate and no chance of a burn. Still use a stone for sharpening

Fantastic wheel, I bought it to cut down on the time it takes to redress things like the plane iron on my Lie Nielsen number 7 which would take an age with the standard fit SG250 stone.

The biggest advantage of the diamond wheels over the standard one is that the diameter remains the same throughout the life of the wheel. This makes setting up the jigs very much easier and more accurate.
I also had to but a new stainless steel shaft as the old wheel had corroded / rusted onto the original shaft and was irremovable by all means short of smashing the stone – a grave error by Tormek with the early machines. The machine is a WET grinder – yet they didn’t use stainless steel!
But the new shaft, locking screw and middle grit diamond stone mean I now have a sharpener that can truly live up to the potential promised by a Tormek. The ability to grind flat on the side of the stone is a very welcome bonus – I may well get the necessary jig for that too.

Great addition to my workshop. I would have no hesitation in recommending any Tormek product. Yandle & Sons Ltd. kept me informed about the delivery, which was very good and their price was very keen. So would be happy to recommend Yandle & Sons Ltd. along with Tormek.

Absolutely first class service and operation in general
Staff could not be more helpful and affable. Prompt delivery of the wheel
The Tormek wheel is expensive but worth it in the long run it does the job perfectly and, if treated as advised, I see no reason that it shouldn’t last for a very long time
Being able to switch wheels for different grades without resetting jigs every time is a huge improvement. A keen edge delivered swiftly
I recommend Yandles and the Tormek wheels in equal measure

Haven’t put this wheel to use yet, but have already tried the extrafine diamond wheel and am very pleased with its features – being able to use the side – no need to “dress” etc.

Original stone on Tormek needed replacing.I invested in the diamond wheel as also allows dry going ,although considerably mor expensive than the grit stone.Well pleased with the decision

Super sharpening kit. You know exactly which grit you are using and the wheels are easy to change. I had to buy the newer quick release shaft as i have a Tormek 2000 model and also bought the MB100 jig to use the side of the wheels for flattening etc. The cost mounts up but keeping tools sharp is easy. Shame i had previously upgraded the stone truing device (TT50) and don’t need it for the diamond wheels.

Wow, wow, wow!!-I’m a newbie and I had really struggled with the standard tormek (T4) grinding stone and my skew chisel particularly was all over the place with multifaceted bevels and an irregular edge despite truing, jigs and marker pens.
Well I’m really happy with the results and can fully recommend these-I purchased the coarse and fine stones. Could I suggest also watching wolfgang and sebastian’s tormek teaching course on the side arm (mb100) which gives some good advice particularly on setting up before grinding on the diamond stones

Really happy with these stones. I never really mastered the standard stone and would often be left with multi-bevelled turning tools.
Now the finish is great and just waiting for the t4 composite honing wheel

Can’t fault the service from Yandles, they have been very helpful, whilst the diamond wheel has been brilliant, it puts a very keen edge on tools, the anti corrosive additive that is mixed with water and has to be used with these diamond wheels has lead to the recently sharpened tools developing a coating of rust, when reading the sales information it states the tools will have a slight anti corrosive coating. The sales information also states this anti corrosive fluid can be used with the standard grinding wheels which I did, I finished using this wheel, put it to dry, returned a couple of day later only to find this wheel was covered in a crystal growth, bit like salt, I contacted Yandles who in turn contacted Tormek, their reply is the fluid is only designed to protect the diamond wheel not the tools!!
