My only tip would be, If you get one buy some spare wires of different thickness to make your own tips.
I now have extra pens so i can have different thickness wire in the different pens.
It makes life a lot easier and the pens hot up and cool down so fast, it makes it a joy to use.

I was introduced to thew Peter Childs Pyrography Kit by a friend. It was the first time I had ever used any pyrography equipment. I liked it so much that I went home and ordered the same one from Yandles. I love it. It’s simple to use, quick to reach temperature and simple to maintain. The nibs are easy to change and the included quantity of nib wire means I can experiment with the way that works best for me. I now can embellish my wood art, and even sign it. I’ve never been good at drawing, but tracing paper, carbon paper or a multitude of different stencils can be utilised to transfer an image or design that can be turned into Pyrography Art. 100% worth the money.

I already own and use a Peter Child Pyrography Kit, my son bought a cheaper model and showed some talent in it’s use however it only lasted a few months before going bang, so I bought him this one for his birthday. It works very well very reliable and well made, price reflects that but mine is already years old and I am sure this one will also last well.
Only comment I would make is, why isn’t it packaged in an unfinished wooden box to let the owners personalise it… I have made one for him.

Cracking pyrography tool. I started my pyrography with a cheap imported hot-wire pen which used 20 gauge wire so detail work was next to impossible. The Peter Child pen allows me to use finer gauges and add much detail to my work. Bit like the proverbial Rolls Royce. If want to experience the best, buy the best. I run a small online shop and this kit has already paid for itself three times over.
