Fits 1/4″ Collet straight die grinders, 20-30K RPM

This is the longer model in the ¼” shank mini shaft series. Designed by Manpa and thoroughly tested by professional chainsaw, bonsai, and ice carvers in South Korea, it features a compact 5mm cutting head. Engineered to perform at high speeds, it operates efficiently between 20,000 and 30,000 RPM. The shaft measures 2-5/16” in length, 5/16” in diameter, and allows for up to 1-1/2” carving depth.

It’s compatible with a wide range of straight die grinders equipped with ¼” collets, including pneumatic, electric, and cordless models. Straight-body (not right-angle) die grinders are ideal for this tool, and chances are many woodcarvers already have one on hand.

⚠️ Do Not Use With the Following Tools:

Even if it seems to fit, this mini shaft is not safe to use with:

• Flexible shafts

• Drill or multi-chucks

• Angle grinders, including those with the Manpa Mini Collet ER or any type of collet extension
  (Angle grinders generally lack the RPM range needed and pose serious safety risks.)

Outfitted with a durable tungsten carbide micro cutter, this long-shaft accessory excels at making quick, straight cuts up to 1-1/2” deep. It’s most effective when used in a push-and-pull motion, boring deeper with each pass. Beyond basic cutting, it can also be used to:

1. Add decorative textures to wood surfaces

2. Drill a 5/16” hole and enlarge it with precision

3. Create intricate small-hole patterns for carving and turning
