Fits Rotary ‘Dremel’ style Multi-Tools with 1/8″ collet
This is the most compact tool in the mini shaft lineup, featuring a 1/8” shank. Developed by Manpa and field-tested by chainsaw, bonsai, and ice carving professionals in South Korea, it comes equipped with a single 5mm micro cutting head. It operates efficiently between 20,000 and 30,000 RPM. The tool measures 1-11/16” in length and 3/16” in diameter, with a maximum carving depth of 13/16”, and is compatible with 1/8” collets.
For optimal performance and safety, it’s best used exclusively with small rotary tools like Dremel™, Micromot™, or other similar variable-speed models that accept 1/8” collets. Always ensure the collet size matches the shaft—1/8” is essential.
Not Safe For Use With:
Even if it appears to fit, do not use this mini shaft with the following tools:
-
Flexible shafts
-
Drill chucks or multi-chucks
-
Angle grinders, even those using the Manpa Mini Collet ER or any type of collet extension, as they typically operate below the recommended RPM.
Outfitted with a durable tungsten carbide cutter, this tool excels at making quick, straight cuts up to 13/16” deep. It works best when used in a forward and backward (push/pull) motion, boring deeper with each pass. It’s also incredibly versatile:
-
Add texture quickly to wood surfaces
-
Drill and then widen holes efficiently
-
Create detailed, small-hole patterns for carving or woodturning projects
Though compact, its capabilities are extensive—and this is only the beginning.
Common uses include: bonsai trimming, detailed facial and hair sculpting, intricate pattern work, woodturning enhancements, and lettering or numbering for signs. The more you explore, the more creative applications you’ll discover.
