A handy look at the sound levels on Record Power CamVac machines running single / twin / triple motor, with & without the noise-reducing hose. It also includes data with & without the exhaust cover in place. As ‘standard’ we have found the CamVacs to be the lowest noise out of our range of dust extractors. During testing, ‘standard’ dust extractors, such as the Charnwood DC50 / Record Power DX1000 had an average read of 93 decibels whereas a CamVac comes in at 75 decibels, before adding any further noise-reducing systems. It’s worth noting that long-term exposure to 91 decibels is deemed high enough to damage your hearing permanently.
