Finger Saving Technology comes to the UK

Using machinery always carries an inherent risk. No matter how skilled or careful you are, accidents can happen. The table saw, in particular, can be a daunting and intimidating tool to use. The American brand SawStop has spent decades developing a system to prevent this. Their revolutionary Active Injury Mitigation (AIM) technology is designed to stop and lower the blade the moment skin contact is detected.

SawStop has finally introduced this finger-saving technology to the UK in November 2024 with the release of their compact and jobsite saws. Professional cast iron cabinet saws are set to be released in 2025.

SawStop Compact Table Saw

The smallest saw fitted with SawStop AIM technology, perfect for a hobby workshop, is available with or without legs. Weighing approximately 35kg, it can be easily moved by two people while still offering excellent capacity for sheet materials and featuring a convenient high/low-profile fence. SawStop Jobsite Saw PRO with Mobile Cart

Ideal for use on-site or in a mid-sized workshop, the Jobsite Saw comes with a mobile cart assembly, allowing for easy movement and storage of this 62kg machine. One of our favourite features of this saw is the ‘one-turn’ blade raise and lower mechanism, which makes setup significantly faster.
