Garryson Garryflex abrasive blocks are flexible abrasive cleaning and finishing blocks designed for metal, wood, plastics and painted surfaces. Their unique rubberised construction conforms to the workpiece, providing controlled abrasion without gouging or removing excessive material.

For woodworking machinery maintenance, Garryflex blocks are particularly effective for removing surface rust, oxidation and staining from cast iron machine tables and beds. They are widely used for cleaning and restoring bandsaw tables, table saw tops, planer tables, jointer beds, lathe beds and other cast iron workshop equipment. Used dry or with a lubricant such as light oil or wax, they remove rust spots and surface contamination while helping preserve the flatness of precision-machined surfaces. For optimum protection on your cast iron surfaces after cleaning coat them with a protective wax layer such as Renaissance Wax.

The flexible construction allows the block to follow contours and edges while maintaining even contact across flat surfaces. They can also be used for polishing metal, blending scratch patterns, deburring, cleaning welds and preparing surfaces for finishing.

• Grey – Medium (120 Grit)
  Light cleaning, finishing and blending operations.
• Brown – Fine (240 Grit)
  Final finishing, polishing and surface conditioning.
