Sharpening for Woodturners 3 hour Training Course

Our “Sharpening for Woodturners” course is the perfect opportunity for you to learn the essential techniques for keeping your tools sharp and ready for your woodworking projects.

Course Objectives:

• Understand the importance of tool sharpening in woodturning.
• Learn how to safely and effectively use a bench grinder, linisher, and wet grinding systems such as the Tormek and Robert Sorby Pro Edge.
• Gain hands-on experience in sharpening various woodturning tools, including gouges, chisels, and scrapers.
• Develop the skills needed to maintain the optimal cutting edge for improved woodturning results.
• Discover essential tips and tricks for achieving razor-sharp edges and smooth bevels.
• Troubleshoot common sharpening issues and errors.
• Course start time: 9am – 12pm

By the end of this 3-hour course, participants will have the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to confidently sharpen their woodturning tools using bench grinders, linishers, and wet grinding systems. Whether you are a beginner or an improver, this course will empower you to achieve better results in your woodturning projects by ensuring your tools are always in top condition.
