Robert Sorby Excelsior Bowl Gouges are Titanium Nitride coated for increased performance and resistance to edge wear. The cutting edge on these tools will outlast normal tools by a minimum of three fold.
A must in the tool kit of every woodturner. These tools are ideal for making bowls. They can produce either large profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts as necessary.
Come with a traditional grind and a 45 degree bevel. Can be sharpened in the same way as your traditional HSS or carbon steel bowl gouges.
