Wood Finishing 1-Day Course

This one day wood finishing course will teach you from the basics through to advanced techniques for use on furniture, woodturning or larger wooden projects such as flooring.

The course instructor Jamie Reed is a qualified cabinet maker and a furniture restorer with over 30 years experience.  He will guide you through techniques to apply oils, waxes, sanding sealer, stains & dye’s from popular brands to suit your project.  There will be plenty of opportunity to apply this knowledge and test out products you may have not used before.

This is the perfect opportunity to come and ask questions about technique, process and compatability.  The answers can be provided and, in most cases, opportunity will be given for you to apply this new knowledge or practice the techniques.

This is a practical ‘hands on’ course with disposable gloves and masks provided.  Please wear suitable clothing as you will be using oils, stains and dyes.

The course will run from 10:00AM to 4:00PM and includes lunch.

All courses are on site in Martock, Somerset

Lunch is provided on the day in our cafe.  Dietary requirements are catered for and food can be chosen accordingly from the menu on the day.

PLEASE NOTE: Cancellation or postponment of a course within 48hrs of the booked date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the total cost
