Two Day Box Making Basics with Hand Tools

Product Description

Following on from our successful 'Introduction to Hand Tool Joinery' Course we are pleased to offer a Two Day Box Making Basics Course. 

This is a great way to further develop your hand tool skills and will cover the following

• Measuring & Marking Out Timber
• Using Jigs & Hand Planes to Make Accurate Mitre Joints
• Using Mitre Keys
• Wood Lining a Box
• Fitting a Lid
• Finishing with Oil
• Assembly & Glue Up

This course is taught by highly qualified Furniture and Joinery tutor Kate Sawtell who will guide you patiently through each step and allow you to learn at your own pace.  There are a maximum of 4 students on each course and you will each have your own Sjoebergs bench to work on. 

Your finished project is yours to keep at the end of this 2 day learning experience.

You will not need to bring any materials with you. Lunch is provided on the day in our cafe.  All courses are on site in Martock, Somerset and run from 10AM to 4PM

Minimum age for this Course is 16

PLEASE NOTE: Cancellation or postponment of a course within 48hrs of the booked date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the total cost
