Product Description

Hosted inside our Record Power Authorised Training Centre, this course is will cover the very basic techniques of woodturning spindles, bowl and a variety of projects

During your course you will learn:

  • Where to begin, including what the basic tools are & how to use them
  • How to identify & select the Right Timber
  • How to sharpen your tools using the Robert Sorby Pro-Edge
  • How to safely mount your timber
  • Basic principles of Bowl and spindle turning
  • Basic finishing process
  • Health & Safety in your workshop

This three day course allows you to progress at your own pace.  There will be time to work on several different projects including various bowls types and boxes.  You will walk away with all projects that you have worked on during the course. 

This course is for 4 students and will not run with fewer than 2-students. Once you have ordered your course a confirmation email will be sent to you with your booking reference, please note, you will be required to select a collection date at checkout however this is not applicable to your order, please select a random date.

Course's start at 9am & aim to finish at 5pm with a 1-hour lunch inside our café

Should we be required to cancel the course due to no further bookings you will be advised 7-days in advance of the course date. For further information on courses & how many places are booked, please call out Toolshop on 01935 822 207.
