Customer Reviews

"This router has features not found on other makes. Some are more successful than others. The Cons:- Although advertised as ‘soft start’ it starts with a significant lurch. I don’t find the 3 stage turret for depth setting intuitive and I am not convinced of its accuracy. I have yet to discover the benefits of the rack and pinion mechanism. I find it difficult to use and pointless. The on/off switch really irritating. I don’t like the positioning of the locking lever and would prefer the simple system found on DeWalt or Festool (I own both). The dust collection is not up to the standard of Festool routers but as it’s about half the price I cannot complain. One real complaint – any machine advertised as a ‘half inch router’ should come with a half inch collet as standard (as it does in the USA). The Pluses:- The system for changing the cutter is very good indeed. The system for raising and lowering the cutter when table mounted is excellent. Spring removal is a very easy. On balance, it’s a good machine at a fair price, quieter than most, powerful enough for my needs and very well suited for use in a router table and that is where it’s strengths lie. "
