Yandles Fresh Sawn (Green Oak) 150mm x 50mm Posts are available for collection or delivery in several pre-cut lengths. Our 150mm x 50mm Posts are also available graded to TH2/D24. Perfect for rafters or fences

We also offer a high-quality hand planning service for that smooth finish. All posts are supplied slightly over length, unless specifically ask. Green oak beams are cut to length with a chainsaw and will require a final cut by the customer. Please refer to the green oak tab for more information.

Green Oak

Fresh Sawn or Green Oak refers to timber cut fresh from a log and ranges in colour from pink to pale honey, weathering to grey. It is renewable, as a frame can last for over 100years, the same time it takes to grow with careful management in such schemes as FSC or PEFC. The carbon footprint is also less than standard building materials. We can cut sizes up to 300mm square and 6m long. Larger beams are available to order in shorter lengths. Green oak can have some blue staining which is caused by a reaction between the tanin in the oak and metal. This easily cleans off once dry on the surface by either sanding or oxalic acid.

Delivery

Timber Delivery Rates for Mainland UK start from: Bench slats - £11.99 Large Timber - £19.99 Double Pallet - £119.99(up to 2.4m) Triple Pallet - £169.00 (up to 3.6m). Green oak is delivered by pallet force.;deliveries on a two day service, although this can vary dependant on demand. The costs are determined by length and pallet spaces.

Green oak is heavy and will require lifting off the lorry. Please ensure you have necessary equipment or man power to unload the lorry. This may require more than one person. Our office can advise on approximate weights

If there are access issues please advise prior to delivery and we can arrange necessary transport although this may occur a sur charge.

We will call before dispatch once the order is ready to organise a delivery day. We book in all deliveries and Pallet force will call on the day of delivery to give a rough delivery time.
