"Wood turning session would have been much better if the previous slot was restricted to the four places (four lathes) which would have avoided the half hour overrun prior to our booked slot of 1015. The session lasted an hour and everything you needed was supplied including expert tuition. It was absolutely brilliant and at the end of the hour I left with a big smile and a little bowl that I had turned. "A great start to a new skill. I have had issues trying to get the knack of bowl turning but Paul was very patient and explained the principles of the tools very succinctly. Considering it was only a 1 hour taster the amount of knowledge imparted built my confidence immensely. I hope to move on to the 2 day course to re-learn other skills as soon as work permits."

"As a beginner, my speed was slower than some of the others so to catch up the tutor took over and moved the task forward. Whilst I understand the time constraints, the end product was not a bowl entirely of my making. On the up side, the base spigot allows remounting and final sanding and adding a finish can still be done. I would do this again."
