DESCRIPTION:Absolute Beginners Woodturning 1-Day Starter Course \nHosted inside our Record Power Authorised Training Centre\, this course is a great place to start your journey as Woodturner\, or to simply have a go. Our resident course instructor will cover the basics of the machines and how to use them including the specifications of the machines being used. \nDuring your course you will learn: \n\nWhere to begin\, including what the basic tools are & how to use them\nWhat tools/machines you would need to turn safely at home\nHow to identify & select the Right Timber\nHow to sharpen your tools using the Robert Sorby Pro-Edge\nHow to safely mount your timber\nBasic principles of spindle turning\nBasic finishing process\nHealth & Safety in your workshop\n\nThis course is a great place to start\, aimed at the beginner Woodturner.  Focused on spindle turning\, you will walk away with at least one finished project such as a honey dipper or light pull. \nOur 1-day courses are for up to 5-students and will not run with fewer than 2-students. Once you have ordered your course a confirmation email will be sent to you with your booking reference\, please note\, you will be required to select a collection date at checkout however this is not applicable to your order\, please select a random date. \nCourse’s start at 10am & aim to finish at 4pm with a 1-hour lunch inside our café \nLunch is provided inside our Cafe \nShould we be required to cancel the course due to no further bookings you will be advised 7-days in advance of the course date.
