Improve Your Woodturning Skills With Our Advanced Course, Guided by Registered Professional Turner Paul Ridler
Designed for individuals who already have the fundamentals of woodturning, our intensive 2-day workshop offers an opportunity to hone your skills and learn advanced techniques. The course will take place from 09:30 am to 5 pm in our Record Power Authorised Training Centre here in Martock, Somerset.
This course allows you to customize your learning experience by selecting from three project options:
- Lidded Boxes: Learn how to craft elegant and functional lidded boxes. This project covers the entire process, from shaping the box body and lid, to mastering techniques for embellishing with decorative elements and exploring various work holding methods.
- Heavy Undercut & Decorative Rimmed Bowls: Add to your bowl turning techniques by focusing on heavy undercut and rim designs. Learn how to makeg astute design decisions, and ensure safe tool control.
- Barley Twist: Learn the techniques to create classic and beautiful barley twist designs. This project teaches you the intricacies making spirals, suitable for applications like candlesticks, chair legs, finials, and vases. Additionally, you’ll gain experience in finishing and polishing techniques.
With Registered Professional Turner Paul Ridler you’ll benefit from personalized demonstrations and expert guidance throughout the course. Regardless of your chosen project, you’ll depart with a greater understanding of advanced woodturning techniques.
