About Dan:
Dan is a member of staff who is also one of our course instructors, sharpening specialist and bandsaw specialist. In his spare time, he makes kitchen and tableware using traditional woodturning & woodworking techniques. He also often fulfils ‘odd jobs’ for people around the village which have included making replacement bell staves, repairing chairs, turning trophy stands and more. Some of his creations are available for purchase in our Gifts & Home shop.
During the demonstration, you will have the opportunity to watch an experienced woodturner create a beautiful Small Bowl With a Foot base! You'll see how Dan uses his tools and techniques to shape and transform raw wood into a stunning creation. In addition to this FREE demonstration, we'll have plenty of time for Q & A. You can ask questions, learn more about the tools and materials used in woodturning, and get tips and advice from our expert woodturner.
