Product Description

The BS400 bandsaw offers high quality, industrial features and large capacities to the mid range bandsaw market. This machine brings affordable solid performance and reliability within reach of the discerning woodworker. Like all bandsaws in the range, a solid cast iron table provides unrivalled stability and solidity. An industrial style cast trunnion supports the table and allows it to be tilted one-handed on a rack and pinion. Dynamically balanced cast iron bandwheels ensure superior strength and reduced vibration - a feature not usually found on other machines at this level. The 2hp motor and 305mm depth of cut mean this machine can cope easily with large timbers yet is also equally capable of fine, precise cuts and veneers.

"Yandles website is great. I found all the information I needed. Their communication was fine. After initial trouble with the delivery company, Palletforce, Yandles were brilliant at resolving the issue. Yandles chased up the delivery company, organised delivery, and passed on my negative feedback to the delivery company. The delivery company still seemed to have a breakdown in communication, with messages not getting down from their admin staff to the delivery drivers. The bandsaw itself arrived in good condition, and is running well. With the order came the three additional blades. The delivery company had mangled these beyond use, and at this stage I really couldn't face trying to get a return or replacement through Palletforce. I rate Yandles highly, but will not use them again if it means going through Palletforce. If I lived closer to a Yandles store, I would happily pop in all the time. "

"Excellent machine. I've had my BS400 for a couple of weeks now and I am very impressed by it. Putting the final bits together was easy. The fence etc. are nice and straight, square and perpendicular. I bought a couple of Tuffsaw blades for it including a 3 TPI 3/4inch blade for resaw work. It cut a very good 5mm thick veneer off a 250mm wide 1m long piece of elm without ever appearing to slow down. The finish on both boards was good, only a couple of passes through the thicknesser required. It isn't as physically big as you might imagine. It replaced a small 110mm depth of cut machine in my workshop and yes, the BS400 is bigger, but it fitted in the space left by the other machine. The jockey wheel and wheel kit are a must if you need to move it around. For a 140kg machine it's very easy to move. Very pleased with my purchase."
