Green Oak

Yandles holds large stocks of over 1000ft3 of Green Oak beams in a variety of sections and lengths available for immediate collection. We carry standard square sizes from 75mm  by 75mm to 300mm by 300mm in a variety of lengths and even a few other popular sizes such as 100mm x 150mm up to 3.9m long that can be selected straight away. Come and visit us at Hurst Works to see if we have anything suitable. 

Yandles Sawmill also has a facility to cater for cutting lists and Green Oak beams that are not standard dimensions. All enquires quotes are dealt with by our knowledgeable staff who are able to provide a quick and easy quote for you to understand at competitive prices and who can answer can any queries you may have.

The Sawmill has two Bandsaws in constant use, meaning that the majority of our sawing is done on site. This allows us to have control over the quality of the Oak we supply and ensures that the standard always remains high. It also means we can turnaround orders much quicker than you would ordinarily expect as we are not waiting on a supply in a chain.  The Mill has built a reputation based on a fast efficient service of which it is proud and which it continues to maintain on a daily basis through meeting our customers needs.

Special Sizes/English Oak 

As Yandles Mill is still a functioning Sawmill, we still cut our own English Oak beams and this allows us to prepare cutting lists outside of the normal standard beam width and depth. The only contraint we have is the size of the tree.

Weathered Beams

Yandles stocks a small selection of Rustic and Charactor weathered beams. These are all on display outside our sawmill. Great for matching in to existing properties or someone looking for charactor in a piece of Oak. Please come and see. A member of staff will be happy to show you around

Cladding

Waney Edge

We can supply waney edge boarding cut to size for cladding. The boarding is all cut from English Oak cut on site and width and thickness is set by you.

Featheredge.

We can supply Oak featheredge on request. 10-12 working days

Other Hardwoods

We cut other Hardwoods from logs occasionally and often have a small log stock of Elm, Ash and Chestnut. Please ask if you require something cut in these timbers. Other timber available on request

Softwood

In the coming months Yandles will be introducing a range of Softwood products to compliment the huge range of Hardwoods and machinery already in stock.
